Around mid-July, I was brainstorming about my blog. Ways to reach more readers. Ways to increase my followers. Ways to build my audience.
“I bet if I got pregnant, I would always have something to blog about.” As soon as this thought crossed mind, I realized having a baby to gain more blog followers probably wasn’t a very good reason to have another baby. Especially considering I already had my hands full with an amazing 10 month old.
Fast forward two weeks and I found myself standing in the bathroom white-knuckling a plastic stick, shaking with disbelief and frankly, a “what am I going to do now?” kind of fear. Two pink lines……
Jason was amazing with the news. He had been pretty vocal about his feelings concerning the size of our family and it possibly being complete as a three-some. In fact, he told me he had a very small quiver and it felt pretty full. (“Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them!” Psalm 127:4-5) But, he was excited. Just excited. He gave me a big hug and told me it was going to be great.
So here I am, eleven weeks along. Still nauseous all day. Still sleepy all day. But excited and healthy and THANKFUL!
